Mowing Service

Mowing is the dreaded side effect of summer and the City is not any different.  There is a lot of mowing, and weed eating, that takes place city wide.  These include: Mowing city street right-of-ways, esplanades, ditch right-of-ways and city property. The mowing is handled through the Public Works Department, Parks & Recreation Department as well as an outside mowing contractor.  Harris County Flood Control District also handles the mowing along their drainage ditches here in Deer Park.

Are you curious as to who mows what?  You can visit the Harris County Flood Controls interactive mowing schedule map here.  Simply type in an address to zoom into the area on the map you are interested in.

To find out areas that are mowed and maintained by city staff and city hired contractors, you can open our mowing map here

If you need to report an area that needs attention, you can report it at our Report a Concern site.

PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS OUR PRIORTY TO HAVE THE MOWING TAKEN CARE OF IN A TIMELY MANNER, HOWEVER, OUR WORK LOAD, WEATHER, MUDDY AND WET CONDITIONS CAN CAUSE US TO RUN BEHIND SCHEDULE.
