This includes, but is not limited to, instructional classes, game room operations, outdoor adventure programs, dance classes and special programs of a seasonal interest.
The Community Center and Kingsdale have game rooms to provide for active and passive recreational activities. The following facilities are utilized by the Recreation Division to administer several of these programs and events:
- Avon, Community Center, Claude Burgess, Kingsdale Center and the Jimmy Burke Activity Center.
The All-Star Activity Program (ASAP) operates during the school year for the benefit of children who might otherwise be unsupervised during after school hours. The program offers leisure education designed to help the children develop a positive self-image by learning teamwork, cooperation, improved study habits, and decision-making skills.
